Making good plaster and decorations after rewiring works have been completed by our ElecLocal franchisees together with the work generated by our PlumbLocal franchisees carrying out bathroom installations means plenty of work for our decorators.
Local Services work with a wide range of national account clients who provide a large amount of regular work.This high volume of work can give the confidence and ability to expand into a multi-van business.

DecorateLocal training
Once we have introduced you to the head office team we will start to familiarise you with our systems and processes. Our marketing team will begin putting together your bespoke marketing plan. You will then be introduced to the franchise accountants who will guide you through every step of setting up your new business including registering your new limited company, VAT registration and setting up a limited company bank account.
You will then spend the next 4 weeks at our
decorating training centre. The course runs from Monday to Friday
from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm and Local accommodation is included in the
package. The training is intensive and you will learn all aspects
of painting and decorating for both domestic and commercial work
including;
- Substrates – types and preparation
- Painting Systems and understanding colour
- Tools – correct selection and use
- Lining paper, cross lining
- Wallpaper hanging, ceilings, walls, reveals and arches
- Wide vinyl’s – commercial
- Coving – internal and external corners
- Health & Safety
On completion of your training you will receive your City & Guilds qualification. Our network of Technical Support Franchisees will be on hand whenever you need them offering help and advice to make sure that every job goes smoothly.
You will now be equipped with the skills to start an exciting and rewarding new career with one of the UK’s most successful franchise operations.
